Why are animals mistreated? Why do we allow this situation to happen?

As it is public concern animals have no same capabilities as men do but God created animals so men can do their will over them. (Human will was supposed to be the same as God will.)

Genesis 1:28

28 God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Now the questions are how God wants men to have dominion over animals and what God´s way is to treat animals.

Ok, interesting for beginning.

Now it continues on verse 29.

29 God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.

Despite the prior verse, God said the following to Noah.

Genesis 9:1-5

1God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand.Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.

I will surely require your blood of your lives; at the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.

In Genesis 9 as you can read through, God allowed men to eat animals. But animals would fear men. It means the relationship between animal and humankind had come to an end. It was the only way men could live by eating God´s creation represented in animals and plants, excepting men eating men.

When Jesus Christ was on earth he showed us.

Matthew 14 19-21

19 He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces. 21 Those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Now this is clear that God allows us to eat animals.

There is something totally different that is called animal cruelty.

According to Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Animal cruelty generally falls into two categories: neglect, or intentional cruelty.

SPCA said that Neglect is the failure to provide adequate water, food, shelter, or necessary care. Examples of neglect include: starvation; dehydration; inadequate shelter; parasite infestations, and so forth. But they stated that in some cases neglect is a result of the owner’s ignorance, and can be rectified by law enforcement authorities.

SPCA mentioned that equally disturbing as neglect is the brutality of intentional cruelty. This involves deliberate physical harm or injury inflicted on an animal. Regretfully, cases of animals being beaten, burned, poisoned or stabbed to death are not uncommon. But SPCA clarified that in some cases neglect or cruelty is the result of people using animals as tools for commercial profit, such as in the cases of puppy mills, dog fighting, cock fighting and illegal slaughterhouses.

Moreover there are people who kill animals for fun. They show no remorse doing it.  Other people use deception to mask abuse. Obviously when the animal cannot resist all the pain and punishment, this animal finally dies. Definitely this is not God´s way to do things. God is love in every sense of the word.

As a matter of fact, be careful of men commandments, there are people who says ¨Do this¨, ¨Don´t do that. Only listen to God´s true and understand it through him. God will manage your life and guide you step by step if you really want it with a willing heart.

Colossians 2:16

16 Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,

Next time you kill an animal in order to eat. Thank God he has provided you the food. In the other hand if you are convinced not to eat animals. Thank God anyway and thank him for the plants and fruits.

Next time you want to mistreat an animal, think it twice. Remember they are God´s creation. They were put in front of you to show you God´s love for you. Because of them you can fulfill your needs. For example dogs and cats are good companion. Cockroaches are part of the “eat/clean up poop/bodies” niches. Tigers live by hunting and catching prey and eating it and keeping the ecosystem equally. And some bats eat insects which are prejudicial for plants and so on.

To summarize, People who mistreated animals funnily and intentionally will receive God´s reprimand someday. Animals are on earth with a purpose and no one can tell you if killing a small insect or killing a bull or chicken is bad. Only you know and God knows. Thanks God almighty for providing us animals.
